Kein unabhängiges Schottland

Mit etwas mehr als 55 % stimmte die schottische Bevölkerung bei der Abstimmung vom 18. September 2014 für den Verbleib im Vereinigten Königreich. Die Beteiligung betrug nahezu 85%. Ob auf der Insel nun Ruhe einkehrt, bleibt abzuwarten, gab es doch kurz vor dem Referendum Zusagen für eine stärkere Autonomie aus London, die nun umgesetzt werden müssen.
